Ginger Pickle

This pickled ginger appetizer is great to take before eating to aide digestion and dissolve toxins in the digestive tract.  Ideally taken 10-20 minutes before you eat (but you can also take it as you start eating), it will kindle agni, the body’s digestive fire that transforms food into nutrients we can use and prevents the formation of ama, toxic waste that builds up in the body. 

 

Take one slice of ginger before eating to help kindle your digestive fire!

 

INGREDIENTS:

·      1 inch long piece of fresh ginger

·      1 tsp lime juice

·      ¼ tsp rock salt

 

PREPARATION:

1.    Peel ginger, cut into small slices, and put into a small glass container or jar

2.    Add lime and rock salt

3.    Mix well
